Marissa Pastor was born and raised in Pasadena, California and continues to live in the area with her husband and children. She is a graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles where she studied Painting, Sculpture, and Graphic Arts. She continued her studies at the Art Center College of Design taking post graduate classes in illustration and graphic design. She has always loved children’s books and most of her work has been in this area. She worked with Brown Publishing Network on their Saxon Big Book series. She has also developed a line of watercolors and prints for children, and has enjoyed working on custom projects for nurseries and children’s rooms. In addition she has designed logos, and book and program covers.
